Are you lost trying to find the best ways to Generate Website Traffic? You’ve worked so hard to get your website off the ground, but you’re not getting the volume of customers you were hoping for? It can be frustrating. It might even deter you from pushing through. So I’ve put together a list of the Ultimate Website Traffic Generators that you can implement to increase your website traffic, build your audience, and get seen by the right people!
1. Keep Your Website Content Fresh
Google loves new content, so get writing! Update your blog, create a new product, or add some new photos. Your website is an incredible tool for you to use, and not just to sell your products. Offer value to your customers , engage with them on a more personal level, and give an insight into your knowledge and brand!
2. Drop It Like It’s Hot
Think of your website like your business card. Mention it online wherever you talk about or promote your business. And don’t forget to always link to it on every platform and post. If you feature a piece of content on Facebook, or a blog post, make sure you link back to it. This won’t only help increase your website traffic by sending more people directly to your site, but it will also help your SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).
3. Do Your Keyword Research
Google has some great tools to help you research exactly what your customers are searching for. This again goes back to SEO, and you’re going to hear me talk about it a lot because it is THE way to increase your organic (free!) traffic. By using keywords – or words/phrases that people will use to find your product/service – throughout your content, you are telling Google that you have what people are looking for, so it will show your website higher in the search results. 4. Submit Your Website to Google
Google will crawl your website – eventually, but if you want to give them a nudge submit your sitemap and you will start to appear in relevant searches. You can do this through another free tool, Google Search Console. It’s super easy to do, and your website platform will be able to give you your site map URL – but usually it’s your domain followed by /sitemap.xml
5. Be Mobile Friendly
Most people browse online from their phones, so Google will not give top spot to your site if you are not built for Mobile. If you have built your website in a platform like Shopify or Squarespace etc. they automatically optimise for Mobile and will make your website responsive, or mobile friendly!
